Are you an experienced developer ready to take the next step and lead a team at the heart of our mission? We're searching for a passionate and dedicated Team Lead, Software Development to guide a high-performing, cross-functional team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of features for our diverse product portfolio, including our core channel manager, booking systems, and our Guest App.

This position offers full flexibility and can be performed fully remote, hybrid, or on-site. Best case if you could visit our office once or twice a month.

Your future contribution

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented software developers. Your primary focus will be on their professional growth, well-being, and performance through regular 1:1s and constructive feedback.
Technical Execution: Guide your team's day-to-day technical work, ensuring it aligns with the overall technical vision set by the CTO and Head of Engineering. You'll be the first point of contact for technical challenges and a facilitator for problem-solving.
Agile Delivery: Own and continuously improve your team's agile processes. You'll work to remove impediments, manage commitments, and ensure a smooth and predictable delivery cadence.
Collaboration: Partner closely with your team's Product Owner, providing the technical input and estimations needed to manage the product backlog and align with stakeholders on timelines and dependencies.
Code Quality: Uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability by participating in code reviews and promoting best practices within the team.
Culture Building: Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture where open communication, accountability, and knowledge sharing are paramount.

You’ll be successful in this role if you

Technical Foundation: You have extensive professional experience in software development, with a strong background in PHP and modern frameworks like Symfony. Your technical expertise commands the respect of your team.
Leadership Experience: You have proven experience in a leadership role (Team Lead, Tech Lead, or similar), with a genuine passion for managing and mentoring people.
Agile Mindset: You possess a strong understanding of and experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and you are committed to continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with specific experience in collaborating effectively with Product Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
Focus on Execution: You excel at tactical planning and execution, knowing how to guide a team to break down complex problems and deliver high-quality software reliably and on time.
Languages: You are fluent in English (min. C1). German language skills are a plus
Qualifications: You hold a relevant degree (apprenticeship or university) in development or a comparable field.

We advise and support rental agencies (Fewo-Agent.de), destinations (SECRA booking system) and all other hosts worldwide (Fewo-Channelmanager.de) and thus ensure many bookings and simple processes.

In addition, we offer web and consulting services to support our customers holistically. Our service is complemented by our own, wide-reaching accommodation portal Ostsee-Ferienwohnungen.de.
